It’s kind of strange…I came across a car in my area with registration number differing from that of my car by only a digit!!!

bike registration number

How often do you see the registration number of a vehicle quite similar to yours? There is a bike (Yamaha RX-100 or 135) in my area which only has one letter different from my bike’s number. The number of that bike is KA-03 EA 4810. The first time I read it inattentively, I thought the numbers are same and I was taken aback for a moment only to realize later on that one digit was different.

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

Tuesdays with Morrie is one of those inspirational books that make you look back and look into your life. It asks you to reconsider the pace at which you are living your life.

It questions your materialistic desires, the dreams that you have been running after. Maurie is a crippled teacher who is suffering from ALS (same disease Stephen Hawking is suffering from) and knows his end is not too far. He decides to take his lessons to the world and be a good teacher.

Of mice and men by John Steinback

I finally read ‘Of Mice and Men’. I found John Steinback very good at explaining complicated things and emotions in a simple way.
Warning: spoiler ahead

It’s a story of two friends, George and Lennie- workers who drift from one ranch to another in search of work. They dream of having a place of their own some day where Lennie plans to raise rabbits and tend them. There lies the problem. Lenny is very strong physically but is very simple-minded. He ends up killing rats when he tries to tend them. The story concludes with one friend ending up in killing other.
Both characters in the story are quite convincing: Lenny who always dreams of tending rabbits, pups and mice keeps on forgetting thing told to him by his sincere friend George who can smell trouble from a distance. Goerge likes Lennie for his simplicity and his huge physical strength.
Worth a read....
