Salute of a Madras Sapper

Yesterday evening, I was going to Residency road and on the way, very near to M.G. road, i noticed a Madras Sapper’s truck. The driver was in uniform and another person in uniform was sitting next to him. Suddenly from the other direction, a black army ambassador passed by which had a dark sun-film on its windows and one couldn’t make out who was sitting inside. Incidentally, I saw this Madras Sapper sitting next to the driver salute promptly towards the car. The speed with which he recognized the ambassador and signalled his salute was awesome. I think the salute is hard coded in his mind.

I admire the discipline in the forces.
