Oscar and Felix

On Friday, some of us from office went for an Evam’s play (An odd couple) to Rangashankara. There was so much of traffic that it took us an hour and a half to reach the venue and at one moment I just wanted to jump out of the car to convince myself that I could also use my legs for walking and jumping and not just for changing gears and accelerating.

All in all, we reached there well in time. The play was hilarious and is difficult to describe in words. The story rotates around two friends- Oscar and Felix: Oscar is happily divorced and stays in an 8-room apartment all by himself; Felix, on the other hand, is in the process of getting divorced to Francis (his wife). They also happen to have other common friends who come over for Poker or Friday nights.

Felix moves in with Oscar and talks all the time about his wife and how good she was. Felix who happens to be a cleanliness freak irks Oscar often with his fixation on cleanliness and Francis. Time passes by (I guess six months) and Oscar gets an opportunity to invite two English bachelor sisters home on a date.
I won’t tell you what happens next. Go and watch the play

Karthik Kumar played the role of Oscar. He was, like always, perfect in his diction and acting. I don’t know the name of the guy who played the role of Felix. He also acts very well and is suitable for a cute-guy role. Sunil Vishnu also happens to be a good actor who acted as one of their friends.
