soccer

I watched the semi-finals between Germany and Italy till 3:00 a.m. It was an nteresting game wherein the winners scored the goals in 29th and 30th minutes of extra time. When Germany had almost assumed that the final score will result only from Penalties and indeliberately let their defense loose, Italy sprang a bitter surprise: Grosso collected the ball from the midfielder Andrea Pirlo and sent it home. Del Piero scored another goal past Jens Lehmann, German goal keeper.
For me, it was the fastest game of this world cup so far!

On the other side, Portugal lost to France. Zizou seems to be in his best form.

On 9th July, France will take on Italy in the finals of Football World Cup 2006 while Germany will battle out Portugal for the third place (Oliver Kahn will start as the goal keeper of Germany). Do watch the games…
